I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

Sooooooo Busy

Wow, I've just so busy. I have been on and off the computer, but I haven't gotten to do much with deviantArt. I'm so behind. I have so many deviations to look at, and so many comments to get to. So, I have put up a few things I've been working on.

I worked almost all summer painting my parents house and earned enough money to buy a very nice camera. Yay....

***Hugs new camera*** Who would know that a grown woman would be so happy over a little thing like a camera. It is a KODAK Z1015 and it has so many cool features.

Secondly my sister and I are pretty much set up in our little studio. The grand opening is not until the end of August, but the studio plans on doing weekend fairs around the area. Woot... maybe we can sell something.

My little boy is getting ready to go into the 3rd grade. Man I feel old. :LOL: He is really looking forward to it. So I am busy trying to get his back to school stuff together. But it seems like they are going to school so early, August 19. When I was in school we didn't go back until after Labor Day. Hmmm....

Oh and I went on the coolest field trip with my sister. The students we had to watch, well I'll not say anything about their actions. But the trip was so cool. My sister teaches anatomy at her High School so we went to a anatomy lab for a week, and got to see the bodies. I even got to dissect a sheep brain. Okay so I'm morbid. But it was really interesting.

Well gotta run. So much to do and so little time.
